MAN Energy Solutions has set a date for the commercial release of its new ammonia dual-fuel engine.
Speaking on a webinar, head of two-stroke global sales & promotion Christian Ludwig said the Danish engine designer plans a full sales release in the fourth quarter of 2026 for its G50, S60, G60, G70 and G80 engines.
But he said this would depend on shipyards building vessels and finalising rules and regulations for ammonia as a fuel.
