The last month in the working life of a sanctioned tanker hauling Russian crude has shown how tough it can be for Western authorities to keep track of cargoes.
Bloomberg reported the case of the 160,000-dwt Meru (built 2000), which left Russia’s Murmansk terminal in the Arctic Sea on 20 January.
