The latest reported sale of an older VLCC shows a price gap between buyers and sellers remains a barrier to deals.
European brokers said the 302,000-dwt FPMC C Intelligence (built 2010) has gone to unknown Chinese interests for a price in the high $40m range.
However, a tanker source told TradeWinds the vessel had not been sold, further complicating the pricing picture.
