South Korean shipowner Hyundai LNG Shipping has opted to scrap its 29-year-old steam turbine-driven LNG carrier in what looks to be the first demolition sale for the sector this year.
Brokers said the 125,000-cbm Moss-type Hyundai Greenpia (built 1996) has been sold for recycling on an “as is” Singapore basis.
