Grimaldi Group is poised to put pen to paper on an order for 10 hybrid ro-ro vessels, as well as a EUR 60m ($70m) investment for the lengthening of a pair of cruise ro-pax ferries.
An order for the environmentally friendly ro-ro newbuildings to be fitted with some of the largest lithium batteries, will be awarded to yards in the coming weeks, managing director Emanuel Grimaldi told a conference in Italy today.
