Senior Gard lawyer Monica Kohli’s work promoting the role of women in shipping has been recognised in the UK’s New Year honours list.
Kohli, the UK president of the Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association (Wista), was given an Order of the British Empire (OBE) for helping promote diversity in the maritime industry.
The organisation works to raise the profile of women in maritime and to increase the number of women at sea.
