Russia’s Ingosstrakh insists it does not insure vessels sanctioned by Western nations and claims it has cancelled or denied coverage for more than 100 ships since 2020.
In a staunch defence of its practices, the insurer said that it would be able to pay out even in the event of “complex or high-profile” cases, despite being put on the UK sanctions list in June.
