An aframax carrying Russian crude appears to have scrapped a long route around the UK after it was named on last month’s sanctions list in the country.
Tracking data showed the 105,000-dwt Attica (built 2010) heading north out of the Baltic Sea on Monday evening, after loading crude at Russia’s Ust-Luga terminal.
The roundabout route avoiding the English Channel gained widespread media coverage.
