Chinese bulker owner Yangpu Zhongxin Shipping is diversifying into tankers with orders for two MR product carriers.
It is Nanjing shipbuilder Jiangsu Dayang Offshore Equipment Co’s first MR order.
The 50,000-dwt newbuildings will be delivered between late 2026 and the first half of 2027.
Established in 2021, Hainan-based Yangpu Zhongxin has a fleet of three post-panamax bulk carriers that average 14 years, and one newly built 19,000-dwt heavy deck cargo ship, according to Clarksons’ Shipping Intelligence Network.
