South Pacific nations have begun to examine their registers after Fiji claimed North Korea-linked ships are falsely using its flag.
Reuters reported that Fiji is working with Interpol and port state body Tokyo MOU on the issue, according to a spokesman for the country’s Maritime Safety Authority (MSAF).
The 18 members of the Pacific Islands Forum have agreed to audit every vessel for links to North Korea.
