Tsakos Shipping & Trading of Greece has scrapped its only owned VLCC, market sources say.
Athens-based Tsakos has sent the 300,000-dwt La Paz (built 1995) to the breakers beaches, multiple shipbroking sources tell TradeWinds.
A price of around $415 per ldt is being placed on the sale, which sources say is in line with the present market expectations for tankers.
