Kolkata-based dry bulk player Apeejay Shipping is reported to have sold its last 1990s-built panamax bulk carrier, while at the same time procuring a replacement from a Chinese leasing company.
Set to be leaving the company’s fleet on a one-way voyage to Chittagong is the 70,300-dwt APJ Mahakali (built 1996).
It is listed in the latest ship recycling reports as having been sold on an “as is” basis in Colombo for onward resale to Bangladesh.
