Commodities group Trafigura has agreed to pay $55m to end a US investigation into its historical trading conduct.
The huge shipowner and charterer said its Trafigura Trading unit has reached a civil settlement with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
Trafigura made clear it neither admitted nor denied a series of allegations made by the CFTC.
