John Fredriksen-backed Edda Wind has reported a loss of hire and revenue due to issues with some of its vessel gangways.
The Haugesund-based owner’s chief executive Kenneth Walland said that during the first quarter, the company experienced “significant technical challenges” related to several of these systems, without giving details.
“To address these issues and ensure reliable performance, Edda Wind temporarily took three vessels out of operation,” he added.
