A UK naval officer tried to cover up a near-miss with a Stenersen tanker off Scotland.
A military court was told that Lieutenant Euan Playford-Johnston left the bridge of his minesweeper to an untrained officer.
The vessel came within a “hair’s-breadth” of hitting the 16,600-dwt Sten Baltic (built 2005), the Daily Mail reported.
