BAL Container Line is mulling an order for four ultra-large container ship newbuildings worth about $600m in China.
The Hong Kong-registered Shanghai-based liner company is said to have inked a letter of intent with state-owned Jiangnan Shipyard for two firm 14,000-teu vessels plus options for two more.
BAL is reported to be one of several liner companies planning to order new ships.
