Norwegian shipowner Eidesvik Offshore has formed a new venture with compatriot start-up Agalas to order a fleet of new construction support vessels for subsea and offshore wind work.
One firm ship has been ordered at Turkey’s Sefine Shipyard, with four more options attached.
The newbuilding is earmarked to perform inspection, maintenance and repair work in buoyant offshore markets with tight ship supply.
