VLCC earnings picked up on Tuesday to $50,000 a day driven by an improvement in rates in the Middle East, according to Clarksons.
Rates from the Middle East Gulf to China increased 12.8% on Tuesday after several weeks of declining rates, its data showed. The rise was attributed to a slowly shrinking tonnage list in the region.
