New Fortress Energy has been assured that LNG carriers that are not qualified to operate under the Jones Act will be able to load at its floating LNG production unit that is under commissioning in the US.
New Fortress said US Customs & Border Protection has issued a ruling confirming that the transportation of cargoes produced at its FLNG facility off Altamira, Mexico, does not fall under the law.
