Belgian owner Compagnie Maritime Belge (CMB) has increased its massive order backlog for newcastlemax bulkers to be built in China.
Chief executive Alexander Saverys confirmed that the company has inked orders for two more vessels in a newbuilding programme he described as “the biggest in our history”.
All of the ships in the series will eventually have ammonia-fuelled engines.
