Danish shipping giant Maersk and French oil major TotalEnergies have lost a court case relating to tax evasion in Algeria and Qatar.
Denmark’s supreme court ruled against the pair on Wednesday over alleged misuse of transfer pricing in the countries from 2006 to 2008, Reuters reported.
The case was launched by the Danish tax authority, which claimed former subsidiary Maersk Oil had evaded tax.
