July volume at Wilson Sons’ Rio Grande box terminal grows 44%

Wilson Sons saw July container volume at its Rio Grande Container Terminal grow 44% year over year to 49,100 teu due to higher levels of imports and exports in the months after the pandemic.

Exports at the Rio de Janeiro-based tug and terminal operator’s Rio Grande terminal rose 83% in July from a year ago due to more ship calls and greater volumes of tobacco, resins, and other products, Wilson Sons said.
