Eastern Pacific Shipping’s relentless pursuit of newbuildings continues.
The Idan Ofer-controlled company is estimated to have ordered more than 120 newbuildings since 2018, and has added six more new ships to its huge orderbook.
Shipbuilding sources following Eastern Pacific’s newbuilding activities said the company has contracted China’s New Times Shipbuilding to build two suezmax tankers and it has inked four 7,000-ceu pure car/truck carrier newbuildings at China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Nanjing).
