Ship recyclers struggle to convince big owners to scrap as steel prices seep downwards

Scrap prices offered by ship recyclers in both India and Bangladesh dropped by between $5 and $6 per ldt over the past week, with traders telling brokers that they should expect them to keep falling.

TradeWinds is told this is making their struggle to acquire larger tonnage difficult as even such a small amount can significantly impact the final price.
