Diana Shipping has fetched a multimonth fixture for a kamsarmax bulker at a daily rate reflects slumping period rates in the sector.
The New York-listed owner of 42 bulkers has chartered the 82,100-dwt Myrto (built 2013) to Cobelfret at nearly $12,700 per day for at least 14.5 months. Cobelfret has options to extend the contract, which will begin on Saturday, until 15 January 2025.
