Oslo-listed Gram Car Carriers (GCC) is banking a big gain after striking a rare deal to sell precious tonnage in record markets.
With owners desperate to secure more capacity, the owner is offloading the 2,000-ceu Viking Constanza (built 2010) and its smallest and older vessel, the 1,000-ceu Viking Princess (built 1996), for a whopping $43.5m combined.
The aim is to “modernise the fleet and capitalise on historically high secondhand vessel values,” the company said.
