A small-scale LNG carrier newbuilding has been put up for sale by a Chinese shipyard after the country's anti-corruption purge resulted in the loss of a long-term charter contract from a domestic energy major.
Informed sources say Zhejiang Yuanhe Ocean Shipping will not be taking delivery of the 30,000-cbm LNG newbuilding named Yuan He 1, which it ordered three years ago at privately owned Ningbo Xinle Shipbuilding.
