Shipowners need to decide now if they are going to be part of the CO2 shipping revolution, according to shipbroker Gibsons.
The London shop sees liquid CO2 carriers as a new source of cargo demand for the industry, which could over time help offset declining trades for conventional hydrocarbons.
But time is running short to provide the ships needed for upcoming capture and storage (CCS) projects.
