Big-name buyers have been identified as behind deals to acquire four modern ultramax bulkers offloaded by Oldendorff Carriers in February.
Brokers have linked XT Shipping of Israel, in which billionaire shipowner Idan Ofer is a shareholder, and Laskaridis-owned Lavinia Corp of Greece to the sales.
The companies are said to have taken two ships each at $32m per vessel.
