Singapore based cash buyer Wirana Shipping Corp is establishing itself as a tanker owner and operator.
The company is starting off big with the purchase of a VLCC from US-listed Navios Maritime Partners.
Wirana has emerged as the buyer of the 297,400-dwt Nave Photon (built 2008), which brokers reported last week as sold for $58m.
