Dieter Berg is set to continue as president of the International Union of Marine Insurance (IUMI) for a fourth year.
Although most IUMI presidents since 1982 have served for three years, Berg will follow his immediate predecessors, Ole Wikborg and Deirdre Littlefield, in heading the organisation for four years.
The Munich Re executive will not face an election at next month’s IUMI conference in Tokyo as the organisation now elects top officers for two years with re-election for a further term possible.
