Euronav’s supervisory board is backing proposals that will see its two major shareholders represented as directors.
This is a big step towards John Fredriksen and finance man Cato Stonex joining the board from the Fredriksen group side, and Marc Saverys and CMB finance chief Patrick De Brabandere taking seats on behalf of the Saverys family.
But the board has rejected Saverys-controlled Belgian shipowner CMB’s three other nominations as non-independent.
