Torm has confirmed the purchase of seven LR1 tankers — at a lower price than expected.
The Copenhagen-based product tanker owner said on Thursday that it had nearly doubled its LR1 fleet, with four vessels bought earlier in the month and three more on Wednesday for a total of $233m.
Previous reports pegged the value at closer to the $240m VesselsValue estimation.
