Diana Shipping has secured period charters for more than a year that will see the New York-listed owner earn less from two bulkers.
But the deals, which will make $15m for the New York-listed shipowner, also show period rates have remained stable since the last similar transactions.
Semiramis Paliou-led Diana has extended a fixture for the 98,700-dwt panamax Polymnia (built 2012) with diversified operator CLdN Cobelfret for at least 15 months at $10,000 per day for the first month and then $15,000 per day for the rest of the charter.
