Euronav chief executive Hugo De Stoop has dismissed the G7’s $60 price cap on Russian oil as both ineffective and burdensome.
He told Le Soir that everyone in the tanker sector had been wondering how it could be applied in practice as a world first.
“For those familiar with the oil market, this measure does not make much sense, De Stoop said.
