Saudi Arabian giants Bahri and Saudi Aramco have been linked to vessel charters as they expand their medium-term oil product shipping capacity.
Brokers report the shipowner and the oil major, which owns 20% of Bahri, have tapped owners in the US, Japan and Greece to bring in clean tankers for a year.
Bahri has fixed the 20,000-dwt chemical carrier MTM Southport (built 2008) over 12 months at $20,500 per day.
