French shipbroker BRS Group has noted a “nascent recovery” in tanker ordering, but owners should not be too worried about overcapacity just yet.
Contracts have been signed for 32 new vessels in the past three months, accounting for more than two-thirds of the total tanker orders placed in 2022, the Paris shop said.
It identified several reasons for this rising activity.
