The volume of ships sold for recycling in 2022 declined by 51% year-on-year in deadweight (dwt) terms, according to data compiled by Clarksons Research.
The total dwt volume of ships that were sold for recycling to date this year has reached 11.3m dwt as compared to 23.5m dwt in 2021.
