Greek operators a ‘minority’ in post-cap Russian crude trades

Greek operators flying European Union flags are among the first 11 tankers loading Russian crude since the start of the European import ban on 5 December, data analyst Vortexa says.

Tankers with EU owners, insurance or finance are permitted to move Russian crude to countries outside of the EU only if the oil is being sold for less than $60 per barrel, under a price cap scheme championed by the G7 group of nations.
