Analysts believe shipowner MPC Container Ships (MPCC) will soon be in the money on a deal in which a charterer returned a feedermax vessel two years early.
The Oslo-listed, Hamburg-based company said this week that it had bagged $77.7m in gross proceeds from vessel sales and early redeliveries of chartered-out ships.
The 2,742-teu AS Carlotta (built 2006) is being handed back early by US charterer Pasha Group for $25.2m
