Australia’s Provaris Energy will begin identifying shipyards to build its fleet of compressed hydrogen carriers after winning class approval.
US class society American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) has greenlighted the design for the Sydney-listed company’s 26,000-cbm H2Neo vessel, the first of its kind to receive this level of approval.
Shipbuilders can now provide firm quotations for the construction of a fleet of H2Neo ships, Provaris said.
