John Fredriksen’s Frontline has temporarily increased its crude oil cargo exposure as rates rocket.
Chief executive Lars Barstad told a conference call with analysts that one of its LR2s vessels has switched from clean products to the dirty trade after it received “an offer it couldn’t refuse”.
He said Frontline previously had six out of 18 LR2s trading in crude this year in what are “astronomical markets”.
