Owners should not have to worry about any significant number of new tankers joining the fleet before 2026, according to Okeanis Eco Tankers.
The Oslo-listed company’s chief operating officer Aristidis Alafouzos told a conference call that the big yards in South Korea and China will not be able to take on major series of newbuildings as they have in the recent past.
