A British subsidiary of Swiss trading giant Glencore sent cash bribes via private jet to pay off corrupt officials in Africa to secure valuable oil contracts, a court has heard.
Glencore Energy UK Ltd has admitted paying nearly $30m to intermediaries, employees and agents between 2011 and 2016 that were used in part to bribe officials in five African countries.
