South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries is set to relocate its ship sales team from central Seoul to Pangyo in Gyeonggi Province — dubbed South Korea’s Silicon Valley — in a bid to attract fresh talent.
An HHI official said the move to Pangyo at the end of 2022 is part of the yard’s plan to centralise shipbuilding functions about 30 km south of HHI’s current office in a newly built 19-storey building, known as Hyundai Global R&D Centre.
