Klaveness Marine of Norway has entered into a joint venture with a 180,000-cbm LNG newbuilding  ordered by Haugesund-based Knutsen OAS earlier this year.

The Tom Erik Klaveness-controlled company is taking a 46% stake in the vessel that is fixed long term from Spanish utility firm Endesa from delivery in 2020.

Klaveness Marine managing director Jon Chr Syvertsen will have a 4% stake in the ship and Knutsen owner Trygve Seglem the other 50%, according to Norwegian daily Finansavisen.
