Two new floating storage and regasification units have been fired up in Eemshaven in the Netherlands as a cargo arrives at what has become Europe’s first in a raft of quick start-up LNG import terminals designed to help replace Russian pipeline gas.

The 173,545-cbm Murex (built 2017) arrived off the Dutch terminal with a cargo that loaded at Cheniere Energy’s Sabine Pass LNG plant in the US Gulf.
