Idan Ofer’s new LNG venture Cool Company (CoolCo) has fixed a second of its eight tri-fuel diesel-electric LNG carriers for multi-month business at a six-figure charter rate.
Announcing first-half results on Thursday, CoolCo said in August one of its vessels was fixed for 12 months at around $140,000 per day on a charter that starts in early September.
The Eastern Pacific Shipping-controlled company highlighted that it fixed another of its vessels in April for a year at a rate of $120,000 per day which was twice the rate the vessel earned on its previous 12-month deal.
