Danish container ship giant AP Moller-Maersk has continued its push into methanol shipping with a new deal in China.
The agreement with the Debo group is the shipowner’s seventh strategic partnership worldwide as it seeks to secure green bunkers for its methanol newbuildings.
The two companies have signed a letter of intent covering Debo’s plans to develop a bio-methanol project for Maersk in China with a capacity of 200,000 tonnes per year.
