The exponential growth of the Chinese car export amid a shortage of car carriers has led Cosco Shipping Specialised Carriers to use an open-hatch multi-purpose/woodpulp carrier to ship finished automobiles out of China.
The Guangzhou-based shipping company has deployed its newly delivered woodpulp carrier — the 62,000-dwt Cosco Shipping Wisdom (built 2022) — to transport commercial vehicles to South America, according to local news agencies.
